Our Initiatives

Respite care is at the heart of Solidarité de parents.

In addition to the various programs we offer directly to our member parents, we have been working on the respite issue in greater depth since 1997 by developing various collaborative initiatives at the provincial level to :

– Make families aware of existing resources

– Create collaborative links between the various organizations that offer respite care

– Building sustainable solutions together in order to develop a Quebéc network that can meet the varied needs of families.

Répit Québec

Répit Québec, the Québec network for respite for families of people with disabilities, aims to raise awareness among the population and public decision-makers about the issues faced by families of people with disabilities and the organizations that offer them respite care, in order to improve accessibility and ensure the quality of respite care services in Québec.

Portail Répit

It is sometimes difficult to find a respite resource when the need is complex. The Portail Répit, initiated by Solidarité de parents in 2016, allows families to find respite care resources in different regions of Québec in one place.
