Initially, Solidarité helped me catch my breath. Today, it’s still a great organization.
No matter what a child’s condition is, each one has the right to enjoy leisure activities. For a child with severe disabilities who cannot be easily integrated into group activities, this can be quite a challenge.
With the accompanied recreation program, young people can participate in activities that contribute to their development. Parents do not have to worry about paying the attendant because Solidarité manages all aspects of the grant related to this program.
Whether it’s going to the park, the pool, the Biodôme, the cinema or attending other leisure activities, the child has an attendant fully dedicated to him.
Accompanied recreation contributes to:
- enabling young people with severe disabilities to have experiences that they could not have otherwise
- promoting the inclusion of youth in their communities
- making life easier for families
