The visits I get at home make me feel less alone and less isolated.
The first step in achieving our mission is to welcome and support families. As soon as a family calls for help, we begin the support process by conducting a home visit. This visit allows us to assess the family’s needs so we can refer the parents to the appropriate resources and programs offered at Solidarité, as well as in other organizations in the region.
Certain families with more complex needs require more follow-up and support. Not only do we give them access to our respite programs, but we also refer them to other available resources and help them along with the process in order to improve their overall quality of life.
Individual support allows parents to:
- Overcome the feeling of isolation
- DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP OF TRUST WITH PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND THEIR SITUATION
- REDUCE STRESS
